A Day with the Perrys'
Barbadian Residential Cooking Class

This page and cooking class are dedicated to our Dad, Phil Perry, who encouraged us to start them and enjoyed the food and family time they produced.

He made us believe that we could go beyond the impossible.

Learn 5 dishes, including a dessert from the matriarch of the family, Gillian or eldest daughter, Toni, who is a trained chef.

Get the history of our island from one of the twin daughters, Klebere, who is an accredited historian.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Andrea & Roger

Many thanks, I have just returned from Barbados after spending the most fantastic day with Zuwena Perry and her lovely family, booked via the address you have provided.

We were collected from our hotel by beautiful twins, Zuweena and Clay and then drove to their home to be greeted by Phil (Papa Perry) and then continued to create lovely traditional Bajan dishes, with Gillian (Momma Perry)

Gill is well known for the best Conkie, this is the best comfort food ever and definitely a must to try when in Barbados. This day felt special because from the minute we were greeted we felt like one of the family, we didn't just feel like a tourist and truly left with a tear in our eyes.

Definitely do this and pass on our thanks to Zuweena and Clay

Joe & Maude

Thanks so much!  It was a fantastic experience.  We had an awesome time with your mom and Klebere learning the dishes, sampling real barbadian food and sharing stories and anecdotes. It was certainly one the best parts of our trip!  I’ll find a way to spread the word on tripadvisor, probably through forums, which is how I found you in the first place.

And it was so nice of your sister to make the cake for Maude!  We were both so surprised. Maude really appreciated it!

We hope to see you on a future trip to Barbados!

Also, would it be possible to get Klebere’s amazing rum punch recipe?

Thank you for such a wonderful experience yesterday. I feel so fortunate to have been able to cook and eat with you in your home. I love the energy and enthusiasm you both have for life!

A special thanks from Ben, who gobbled up all the macaroni and cheese once he landed! He’s very interested to see if I can make it just as good! Fingers crossed!
